EXPLORING THE WORKINGS OF UI DESIGN
This months challenge I focused on user interface design. The majority of the designs I created were based off of existing products in and around my home that currently didn't have a digital interface (Mixed in are some app redesigns). I stuck to iPhone and smart watch orientations for the layout. There were a few instances though, where I broke out of those restraints where the size of the screen was determined more off of what the physical product was. Towards the end I also explored an app concept for a comic book pull list.
I fell a bit behind this month having took a vacation part through. The detox from the computer was welcomed I must admit. This challenge also required more of a time commitment than the other challenges due to the fact that I started animating many of these to show how the interface would work. A tip to anyone else that tries this, try breaking a design up over two days. One for the actual design and one for the animation (I ended up doing this towards the end and it helped make the challenge not feel so daunting).
